You can never go wrong with baked pasta! Between the cheesy goodness and the hearty gnocchi, this is one epic fridge foraging.
Read MoreA couple years ago I was fortunate enough to go to Japan. I travelled with a couple dear friends and we went to Tokyo, Kyoto, and this little town in the between called Hakone. It was one of the best trips of my life, hands down. Between the people, the sights and the food (most definitely the food) it was an amazing experience.
Read MoreThis week's fridge foraging was between tomato soup and these noodle bowls and I am so glad these noodle bowls won! A bowl full of chicken, noodles, and herbs is my ultimate healthy comfort food.
Read MoreSo if you haven't seen the news on Instagram....we have moved to Nashville! It was a whirlwind move but we are thrilled to be here. Because of the move, I skipped last week's fridge foraging but am back this week! With the move and just general life craziness, my fridge isn't the most well stocked it has ever been....but that is the point of fridge foraging - to make something out of nothing.
Read MoreLet me tell you, this is a total winner of a recipe. For this week's fridge foraging we are using store bought pizza dough and topping with ricotta, caramelized onions and some frozen vegetables. This recipe might be one for the ages! Love the combo of caramelized onions and ricotta on crispy/chewy flatbread.
Read MoreAs I was brainstorming Valentine's Day recipes I was trying to think of the most Valentines/romantic recipes I could think of and in addition to the perfect chocolate souffle, chocolate fondue comes in a very close second! I think it was because we grew up going to the Melting Pot for celebrations but to me a huge chocolate fondue spread just screams Valentines Days. Do you know what else I love about it? Is it super easy to throw together.

All I want to do is eat citrus and drink orange juice. And don't get me started on lemon desserts, I can't pass up any dessert with lemon in it, especially these Meyer Lemon Bars.
Read MoreWith this baby on the way I have started to think more about easy cooking. I have a feeling that - for a little while anyway - the days of leisurely cooking in the kitchen may be over. I have so many friends who say they don't have time to cook or are too busy with their kids to make dinner. Well this one if for them! It might be one of the easiest one pot pastas out there and it all comes together in less that 20 minutes. 15 if you can get that water boiling faster. So keep a lookout for more one pan wonders and sheet pan suppers, I am super excited to develop and share more of those recipe.

Read MoreOne of my favorite stalls at the farmers market each week is the mushroom stand. It is guaranteed to wow and amaze anyone who passes by. The gentleman who mans the stand always has the usual mushrooms like shiitake or oyster but often times he will have the most gorgeous unusual mushrooms that are so unique looking, they almost look like they don’t belong on this planet! From creamy chanterelles, to lion’s mane, to the fluorescent orange of lobster mushrooms, I love that almost no two mushrooms look alike.

I don't know what it is - I love other stores like Target and Walmart. And Trader Joes and Whole Foods I can do with my eyes closed...but there is just something about Costco.

Read MoreI grew up eating black eyed peas on New Year's Day for good luck. We didn't have a ton of food traditions growing up but black eyed peas (and never ending football) on NY day was the tradition. I have added in collard greens and cornbread just for good measure. Write here...
Read MoreI make these meatballs every single Christmas Eve...or special occasion for that matter. They are inspired by the Monday night meatballs served at one of my favorite restaurants in San Francisco, A16. I love how easy and rewarding this dish is and it also freezes really well.
